There is a basic set of skills that every entrepreneur needs to have to develop a successful business. This set of skills needs to be diverse and comprehensive and is a combination of hard (technical, business know\how, etc.) as well as soft (interpersonal, ability to lead, learn, etc.) skills.

Cleantech Arabia designs, develops and implements sector specific capacity building programs for clean technology startups and MSEs in Egypt and the MENA region that is tuned to their needs and help them grow and compete. Trainings can be in the form of 3-5 day workshops or long-term 12-15 day training programs. Our workshops and training programs focus on providing and understanding of the energy market of the country of operations and its needs as well as skills and tools needed to build and grow a company in the renewable energy and solid waste management sectors in Egypt and MENA. The capacity building programs  aim to create an environment conducive to learning, to transfer relevant field knowledge and to build the technical and business capacities of the participating entrepreneurs to allow them to launch and operate their clean technology startups. The training content and delivery mechanisms are designed based on specific gaps in the entrepreneurs’ knowledge and skillset derived from the needs assessment and is adapted to the macro and micro contexts of the country that the trainings are implemented in. The training sessions use a mix of knowledge-based lectures, clean technology specific case studies and hands-on activities to suit the entrepreneurs’ heterogeneous learning styles. They provide skills related to impact assessment, market analysis, financial management, marketing, business modelling and stakeholder analysis.
