Project Development – “City Center Mall + Ein Elbiaa”

Ain el biaa is an Egyptian startup working in many areas of sustainability including composting. Cleantech Arabia provided free consulting and project development service and proposed to City Center Alexandria, Egypt to turn organic waste to compost on site. This has both economic and environmental merit. In exchange of its free service, Cleantech recommends to the private partner hiring a startup or an NGO for the project. Thus Ain el Biaa was chosen to build the composting stations and implement the project. The project involves training for City Center staff to be able to maintain the system. This project, created sustainable green jobs, fostered innovation, and had positive health and environmental impacts.
